Sam Heughan and Caitriona Balfe’s chemistry in Outlander is undeniable, which is also the reason why fans believe the on-screen couple is dating in real life. The co-stars have recently sparked dating rumours again after they are spotted enjoying a beer night together.

In a report by The Scottish Sun, Heughan and Balfe celebrated the completion of “Outlander” season 3 filming together where they enjoyed beers while inside a hot tub. Celeb Dirty Laundry also noted how the on-screen couple appeared flirtatious with one another.

Dating or not?

Ever since starring in the Starz historical drama series, Heughan and Balfe were always rumored to be dating secretly.

And now, The Inquisitr reported that the on-screen couple were spotted together and preferred to celebrate the filming completion together.

Heughan and Balfe both took to Twitter to share their photos having fun in the pool while drinking beers.

Because of these latest photos, fans speculated that they could be dating. As a matter of fact, several gossip site like Korea Portal shared that the couple was sighted flirting with each other while filming the series.

Despite the closeness of the “Outlander” co-stars on-screen and off-screen, they denied any romance was going on between them. Balfe and Heughan addressed these rumors a long time ago but reiterated it again in their interview with Entertainment Weekly.

“Honestly I’m tired of that conversation,” Balfe told Entertainment Weekly.

She said that they are working on a project and claimed it as "fantasy." She also added that she finds Heughan generous and great but denied any romance is happening between them.

In the same interview, Heughan also added that he and Balfe are “very good friends” and that’s all.

What to expect from Heughan and Balfe’s characters in “Outlander” season 3

“Outlander” season 3 which will be released this September, will pick up right after Caitriona Balfe’s character, Claire traveled through time and returned to her life in 1948. She needs to explain to her first husband Frank (Tobias Menzies) that she’s carrying Jaime’s (Sam Heughan) child.

Balfe previously said sorry to the fans of “Outlander” for the long wait but she assured them of “a very worth to wait season.” Despite being tight-lipped about the possible plotlines, Balfe shared that the reunion between her character and Heughan’s will be pretty intense and hot. She added that fans need to brace themselves for love scenes which the couple did not show during the first two seasons.
