Season Three Trailer
The unbearable radio silence from Adult Swim and team "Rick and Morty" since the surprise debut of the season three pilot “The Rickshank Rickdemption” had left the fans in a state of agitation and despair, yearning for any shred of information they could possibly find.
Owing to this very fact, fans bought into any rumour or supposed fact with regard to the show, although almost all of it was proven wrong over time. That didn’t put a hold on the growing desperation though, and that is monumental proof of how successful and widespread the show has actually grown to become in it’s hiatus.
The trailer above which showcases bits and pieces of what we are to expect, dropped on the Adult Swim page on Facebook, soon after which Reddit went on a frenzy of excitement and fan theories and speculations. For those of you who haven’t yet treated yourselves to what seems like one hell of a teaser, sit back, relax, and feast your eyes on the widescreen above!
Rick and Morty Livestream
The live stream which aired on the Adult Swim website at 9 pm eastern time on Thursday drew in a huge audience looking for answers. The event was a limited permit only in order to be able to sufficiently answer all questions posed to the co-creators, and the tickets to it were reportedly sold out within minutes.
Co-creators Justin Roiland and Dan Harmon were more than glad to address to a thirsty crowd, as they had all the answers this time around. Roiland exclaimed to a roaring crowd, “We did it, We f*cking did it!”.
Our thoughts
It goes without saying that the wait was definitely worth it, and we are glad that the team of "Rick and Morty" took their sweet time to get every detail right to deliver something great to us, while most animated shows deliver mediocrity in the name of entertainment and continuity every other month or so.
The trailer looks undoubtedly dope, and we can see glimpses of movie parodies such as Mad Max, Gulliver Travels, and Honey I Shrunk the Kids, to name a few. You can count on us to break it all down for you in the days to come, we won’t disappoint.
Rick Sanchez’s words hold true with respect to this being the darkest adventure him and Morty will have. The trailer leaves no stone unturned with regard to that statement, while leaving us excited and full of questions at the same time. One more month to go, and we’ll all wait this one out together to find out what lies in store for us. Until then, Wubbalubbadubdub!
