Josh Duggar has been in and out of headlines for the better part of two years. From the molestation scandal that was unearthed in May 2015 to his association with the cheating website Ashley Madison, there has been a lot of bad press for the oldest Duggar child. He went to rehab shortly after his accounts with the cheating website were found, reportedly to seek treatment for a sexual addiction.
He has been home with his wife and family since April 2016 and the problems still keep coming.
Lawsuit update
According to the Hollywood Gossip, the Josh Duggar lawsuit just got an interesting update. Aside from him being sued by DJ Matthew McCarthy for the use of his photos on various dating sites that he would have used to cheat, the Ashley Madison executives have now been subpoenaed. The reason for this is unclear but the thought behind it is that something they have in their files would help McCarthy win his case against Duggar. There is an upcoming court date when it will be decided whether or not McCarthy can proceed with his case.
This is not the first lawsuit against Josh Duggar as a result of his misdeeds in 2015. A woman named Danica Dillon sued the reality star for alleged rough sex. The suit was dismissed but the details of her accounts with Duggar tarnished his image. There was a lot that happened in a short amount of time that revealed years of transgressions while he was married to Anna Duggar. The couple currently has four children with their fifth on the way. The two will welcome another son sometime this summer.
Josh joins his sisters in suing for the leaked records
Earlier this month it was announced that Jill, Jessa, Jinger, and Joy-Anna would be suing the city of Springdale and In Touch Weekly for their roles in leaking the molestation reports.
They are claiming they were re-victimized and Josh Duggar has decided to file his own lawsuit. This is all brand new and the information regarding details and responses are a bit scarce. The city of Springdale responded that there was no misconduct and right now, that is everything that is publicly known.
A new episode of "Counting On" will air tonight on the TLC network. It is going feature Joy-Anna Duggar's wedding. While Josh Duggar will not be featured at all, he did attend the wedding with his wife Anna who stood up for his littler sister on her big day. The entire Duggar Family has a lot to look forward to this summer including planning another wedding and the birth of two new babies.
