Cheryl Burke of "Dancing With the Stars" is taking over for Abby Lee Miller as the coach on "Dance Moms." Now that it is almost time for her season to start airing, she is speaking out and not holding back. It is pretty obvious that Cheryl isn't a fan of the way that Abby did things. She will be doing it her own way and it will be interesting to see if the girls get along with her.
What did Cheryl Burke have to say about Abby Lee?
Cheryl is going to sit down with Steve Harvey on his show and talk about it all. She won't be holding back at all either.
In a preview for the show, Cheryl is seen saying "I don’t scream or yell, I don’t believe in that. Don’t get me wrong, I am strict and stern and I expect the best out of my students. But I do it in a way that’s loving and caring. I try not to intimidate them or traumatize the kids."
It really does sound like Cheryl Burke treats the girls totally different than Abby Lee ever did. She said that she doesn't yell at the girls. She is hoping that she can change their memory of being on "Dance Moms" and wants the girls to remember good times. Cheryl even said that the girls were traumatized by their experience and how it went down before. If you have seen the show, then you know exactly what she is talking about and have seen the way that the girls were treated in the past.
Abby Lee Miller actually said she didn't always get along with the crew, but Cheryl is saying the opposite. She has nothing but great things to say about the people that she worked with while filming "Dance Moms."
Where is Abby Lee Miller now?
In case you missed it, Abby Lee Miller is spending time in prison instead of filming the show "Dance Moms." They replaced her as the coach with Cheryl Burke.
Back in June of 2016, Miller pled guilty to not reporting an international monetary transaction and one count of concealing bankruptcy assets. She was sentenced to one year and one day in jail and when she gets out she will have two years of supervised release. It doesn't sound like there is any chance that Abby Lee Miller will be back on reality television, but you never know.
