"The Voice" 2017 continued its run May 8 on NBC as the top 10 finalists offered up their next batch of songs for America's votes and comments by super star coaches Gwen Stefani, Alicia Keys, Adam Levine, and Blake Shelton. When the week's voting window formally closed at 9 AM Pacific time on May 9, two hopefuls added iTunes vote multipliers to their resumes thanks to covers that ranked in the top 10 of the iTunes top 200 chart. So who topped the top 10 iTunes vote and who should probably get ready to sing for survival during tonight's results show?
Hunter Plake, Lauren Duski top the iTunes vote results
A week after both Team Gwen's Hunter Plake and Team Blake's Lauren Duski earned their first iTunes bonuses of the season, both also scored second multipliers with their May 8 offerings. Although Duski led the pack last week with "Somewhere in My Broken Heart" (#3), this week Plake took the reigns, scoring a field-best number nine chart placement with "Higher Love." Duski finished just a spot behind, taking number 10 with the Wynonna hit "Tell Me Why." To date, Plake and Duski are two of only three "The Voice" 2017 contestants to have iTunes vote multipliers under their belts; Team Gwen's Brennley Brown is the other.
Brown earned the first bonus awarded this season with her April 24 cover of "Long Long Time."
Complete iTunes vote results for May 9
The complete iTunes vote results from the top 10 live show are as follows:
- 9. "Higher Love," Hunter Plake
- 10. "Tell Me Why," Lauren Duski
- 14. "Anyway," Brennley Brown
- 17. "Jungle Love," Jesse Larson (Team Adam)

With seven of the top 10 ranked in the top 30 and six in the top 25, the writing could be on the wall for the three who are not: Passero, Ferguson, and Isaiah.
Team Adam's Isaiah has already shown incredible competition staying power by earning both Twitter Instant Saves awarded this season and he seems bound for the bottom two yet again, but anything can happen when America votes.
