From time to time, fans have been looking for updates as to when "Rick and Morty" season 3 will be officially aired. To recall, Adult Swim has aired its first episode on April Fools, and it left everyone in surprise. Meanwhile, some fans have also been waiting for the second episode to be aired. Previous reports suggest that it will be launched on May 20; however, no new episode has been released.
On the other hand, some reports are circulating online that the forthcoming season will be delayed again. The production has confirmed that season 3 is almost done and yet some rumors suggest that Dan Harmon is one of the causes of delay.
They also added that they are currently waiting for the animation team to finish their work in order for fans to enjoy its upcoming episodes.
Season 3 has been off-track with the expected schedule
In one of the recent updates, Dan Harmon, one of the series creators, has admitted the fact that "Rick and Morty" season 3 airing has been delayed from what the original schedule is. He also added that since the series is an animated TV show, all details have to be written down on paper. Along with that, reporters learned that there is more than one writer that has been assigned to note down the details of the series. Thus, this has caused lots of disagreements among the authors and which further resulted in the delay of the show.
Meanwhile, one of the reports also claimed that the production is already done writing the entire plotline. The production even supported the report by claiming that Adult Swim has already launched an opening scene. They even added that the animation team, who are responsible for the complete production of the series, have met the set deadline as well.
Apparently, series fans are expecting to get recent updates as to when season 3 will really air. For the meantime, the showrunners have been tight-lipped about these reports, and they are yet to confirm these stated speculations.

Amidst the total delay of "Rick and Morty" season 3, Adult Swim has made fans keep going as they release lots of teasers for the upcoming season.
One of the trailers featured Rick who is driving across the United States. On the other hand, another trailer also featured Beth inside the garage.
All these updates have kept fans excited despite the fact that they had also been heartbroken with the series delay. Further, fans still have to believe that the production has been doing all that they can to finally launched the next episode on TV.
