#Katy Perry who was once a close pal of #Taylor Swift is reportedly "ready" to reconcile and settle her issues with the "Bad Blood" hit-maker following several years of clashing. Though she only uttered a few words to explain why she suddenly wants to fix her relationship with Swift, being the first to initiate a reconciliation could mean that she might have been serious when she mentioned patching things up with the pop star.
During a recent interview with James Corden as part of "Carpool Karaoke," the 32-year old brunette beauty apparently broke her silence about the Katy Perry-Taylor Swift feud, saying "I am ready, because I think when women unite, the world is going to heal."
The 27-year old blonde singer, on the other hand, who has been out of the limelight of late, has yet to issue an answer to Perry's statement.
While the media is now waiting for Swift's response, the news still turned to be quite a shocker for their fans, who have witnessed the complicated relationship the pair have had over the course of the last few years.
Katy Perry's latest single 'Swish Swish' is not about Taylor Swift
Obviously, the rumors are making it a bit more complicated for the pals to reunite in the first place. While being bombarded with countless rumors that have dragged the friendship down even further, new speculation is claiming that Katy Perry's latest single "Swish Swish" is directed toward Taylor Swift.
Is there any truth in this?
It seems like all of these brewing rumors accusing the "Roar" singer now appear to be untrue.
In fact, Perry did not miss out on addressing this issue, where she was quick to debunk the false claims.
Though many of their fans are not expecting a reunion anytime soon, their on-and-off relationship will remain a little fuzzy until we hear Taylor Swift's side.
Why the feud happened in the first place
Taylor Swift's chart-topping single "Bad Blood" was said to be intended for Katy Perry, which was released shortly after the feud first took the spotlight.
The rumors were on point in claiming that the single was shade directed at Perry.
While Swift did not drop a name or admit it was for Perry, she explained why the feud happened in the first place. During a 2014 interview, she said: "She basically tried to sabotage an entire arena tour. She tried to hire a bunch of people out from under me." She further added,"And I'm surprisingly non-confrontational, you would not believe how much I hate conflict. So now I have to avoid her. It's awkward, and I don't like it."
