At first, Jonathan Hartono was quiet about it all, but he finally went to his Instagram page and shared the details. He posted the picture that everyone has been talking about that shows him bowling with Jim Bob Duggar.
Jonathan is very close to the Duggar Family.
He said, "Definitely did not have a 1 on 1 date with Mr. Duggar it was a 1 versus 1 tiebreaker bowling game with everybody else watching LOL. And, no, not courting Jana haha God Bless y'all #stillsingle." His friends are going a bit crazy on the comments talking about how it was crazy that he ended up on Hollywood Life. One friend said, "I was just a few minutes ago explaining to a friend how this works. Basically, you just hang around the Duggars, and before you know it, you end up in the rumor mill! "
What started these rumors?
The rumors that Jonathan Hartono was dating Jana Duggar started because of this simple picture that he posted. It was him out bowling with Jim Bob Duggar.
He said that they were one on one. He meant that they were playing against each other in bowling, but rumors went nuts that this meant he was spending time with Jim Bob Duggar and asking him if he could court Jana.
It is true that Jonathan Hartono is very close to the Duggar family. The idea that he would be dating Jana isn't crazy, but he now denies that there is any truth to this at all.
Jana Duggar hasn't spoken out against the rumors and she probably won't either. The Duggars normally just ignore this kind of stuff unless it turns out to be true and they give an announcement.
Jana Duggar is the oldest daughter that isn't courting or married yet. She is still living at home and helping with the kids. It sounds like Jana isn't going just to court anyone and is being picky.
She wants to find the right guy for her, and that might end up taking her a bit of time. Jana shared that she likes a man who isn't afraid to get his hands dirty.
