Johnny Depp, popularly known as Captain Jack Sparrow, is reported to be facing a financial crisis after losing millions from his income. The actor has earned an amount of $650 million over the 13 year period of his career. Most of his income comes from the "Pirates" movies in which he will also reprise the role for the fifth installment, "Pirates of the Caribbean: dead men tell No Tales" which is set to hit theaters on May 26.
However, over the past years, Depp has been known for spending a huge amount of money, possibly more than what he can afford.
The question left unanswered is, who's to blame for the actor's crisis?
Depp sued TMG
In 2016, Depp fired his personal business manager and the entire TMG. He also sued the group in January for $25 million for an alleged fraud and mismanagement of his money. He claimed that he just learned last year that he has been in debt of $40 million and he blamed the company for its failure to keep him informed about his finances.
Apparently, tTMG fired back and made their cross-complaint of fraud which claimed that all allegations made by the actor were false. As per a report from E! Online, TMG also added in details of Depp's overspending and expenses over the years.
According to their complaint, he spent $3 million to blast off the ashes of his good friend Hunter Thompson, bought an $18 million yacht, spent $75 million to buy and renovate all his 14 residences, spent $30,000 per month on wine, and $300,000 a month to maintain his staff of 40 people.
However, on the contrary, Depp responded to the reporters with his words, "It's my money. If I want to buy 15,000 cotton balls a day, it's my thing."
TMG countersued Depp after failing to pay commission
Amidst the fraud case that Depp filed in 2016, his previous management group has also sued him for failing to pay them the commission on his income from "Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales." The Mandels, who are the founders of The Management Group, wanted to seek for a court declaration that will affirm that Depp is responsible for his own financial crisis.

The lawsuits, together with other conducted interviews, reveal that Depp has capricious behavior and poor decision-making skills which placed him right into a serious financial problem.
Further, it is still not clear if the actor's problem has affected his relationship with his sister. Apparently, Depp's financial issues could affect the relationships between Hollywood performers and their personal business managers.
