The vampires are expecting their first child - well, vampires in the real world, to be exact. Ian Somerhalder, who plays the role of Damon Salvatore in "The Vampire Diaries," and Nikki Reed, who plays the role of Rosalie Cullen in "Twilight," are reportedly expecting their firstborn.
According to reports, the celebrity couple revealed the good news on social media via matching Instagram posts. The pregnancy news is a breath of fresh air for the fans of the "Lost" actor and "Twilight" actress, considering that they have been bombarded lately with divorce issues.
Apparently, the divorce issues surfaced when the last season of "The Vampire Diaries" began filming, which entailed the "Smallville" actor's former flame, Nina Dobrev, to be working with him again.
Sources close to Ian Somerhalder and Nikki Reed shared that the couple has been trying to keep the pregnancy low key for quite some time as they try to get past the critical stage of the said pregnancy. In the said Instagram posts, the 28-year old actress' baby bump is already quite prominent, which would mean that she is already a few months into her pregnancy.

Ian Somerhalder and Nikki Reed got married last April 2015 and it was an event that fairly shocked the loyal shippers of the former and Nina Dobrev.
Their on-screen tandem in "The Vampire Diaries" was quite a strong force to reckon with, and their breakup disappointed a lot of fans.
