This morning, Ridley Scott confirmed that the new “Blade Runner 2049” teaser trailer will arrive very soon. Film fans don’t need to rush out to see “Alien: Covenant” as a brand new clip for “Blade Runner 2049” will premiere ahead of it. So far, only a few posters and one 10-second trailer for the movie have been released. But Scott claims that a full-length clip will be uploaded to official YouTube by the end of this week to create excitement among fans.

An important year for Ridley Scott

2017 is going to be a big year for Ridley Scott – not only because his new “Alien” movie is debuting next month, but the long awaited “Blade Runner 2049” will premiere this October.

While speaking to The Associated Press, Scott revealed that he has parted his ways from future “Alien” movies, and is now focusing on the production of live-action films and comedies.

Born in November 1937, Scott is a famous English producer and director. He is credited for the success of “Thelma & Louise,” “Gladiator,” “Black Hawk Down,” “American Gangster,” and “The Martian.” Some of his popular television projects are “Numb3rs,” “The Good Wife,” and “The A-Team.”

An anticipated film

“Blade Runner 2049” is one of the most anticipated Hollywood movies. It is directed and co-produced by Denis Villeneuve and scripted by Michael Green. It is a direct sequel to “Blade Runner,” starring Harrison Ford, Ryan Gosling, Ana de Armas, Sylvia Hoeks, Jared Leto, Robin Wright, Carla Juri, Mackenzie Davis, and Lennie James in the leading characters.

The film is scheduled to be released in the United States on October 6, 2017, in IMAX 3D and DVD formats. The film focuses on a blade runner, Ryan, who discovers a strange creature that is about to end the humanity. He rushes to his mate, Rick, to reveal the truth but no one believes him. Finally, he decides to fight against the creature all alone.

In 1999, Stuart Hazeldine hinted at a sequel to “Blade Runner,” revealing that it would be based on “The Edge of Human.” The title of the movie was not finalized until 2015. Later on, Scott joined the project and stated that the script would explore the off-world colony and giant monsters.

Principal photography started in July 2016 and concluded in January 2017. It is a joint project of Origo Studios, Columbia Pictures, and Warner Bros. The three studios have jointly begun marketing of “Blade Runner 2049,” and budget is $50 million.
