Sam Heughan and Caitriona Balfe of "Outlander" are a couple that fans would love to see together. They are not dating, but the fact that the two were seen out at a rugby game has fans wondering if they could end up changing their minds. ET shared about how Sam and Caitriona were seen getting friendly recently at a rugby match.
Could they be more than just friends?
Sam and Caitriona were actually in Cape Town, South Africa, where they went to a rugby game together. Fans were hopeful that this meant something. They were watching the Stormers take on the Cheetahs at DHL Newlands Stadium.
They do play husband and wife on television, but that doesn't mean that they are together in real life. The two are close, just not in that way.
The two were seen leaning in close to each other and smiling for the camera, but it wasn't like they were showing off any PDA. Instead, it was just friends at a game and having a good time. They are there filming season three of "Outlander." The last season they were in Paris and this one they are in South Africa. It is going to be a totally different feel for the new season of "Outlander."
Balfe recently talked about it saying, "I think this season is going to be really interesting and it's going to be so new again. Last season, we went to Paris, and it was something totally different.
This season, we start off with a little bit of a separate storyline, which is really fun for us. We're hoping the fans will be as happy." It is going to be interesting to see how the new season turns out.
It does appear that Sam Heughan is dating, but it isn't Balfe that he is with now. Hollywood Life shared not long ago that he has gone public with MacKenzie Mauzy.
The two look adorable together, but a lot of fans were hopeful that he would end up dating Balfe at some point. You never know what the future might hold for them.
