Jamie Otis and Doug Hehner are super excited to welcome the newest member of their family. The “Married at First Sight,” couple, are enjoying a happy summer, and are expecting a baby girl. Both Jamie and Doug are very happy with the news, following the miscarriage of their first baby on July 2016.
Jamie announced the news about her second pregnancy on December 20, 2016, the same day the couple’s first child, which suffered miscarriage was due. They had named their unborn child Johnathan Edward. Jamie announced the news of her second pregnancy to her husband and also recorded his reaction in a video.
She also gave him a framed letter from her yet-to-be-born infant. Jamie was shocked when she found that their second child was a girl. Both Jamie and Doug are looking for a healthy pregnancy without any complications.
Who is Jamie Otis?
Jamie is a 30-year-old actress who started her career as one of the contestants on the popular reality TV show “The Bachelor.” She was also a contestant on “Married at First Sight,” the place where she met her husband, Doug Hehner. The two got married on March 23, 2014.
Jamie is a registered nurse by profession. However, she has also taken part in a few TV series including “Home and Family” where she portrayed herself. Jamie was also seen in the 2014 TV series, “Honestly Amelia” and has written a book titled “Wifey 101: Everything I Got Wrong About Finding Mr.
Right.” The book was launched in 2016.
Jamie always wanted to feel the mother-daughter moment
Having a troubled relationship with her mother, Jamie always wanted to experience the “mother-daughter,” moment with her child. Doug stated that he was more concerned about the health of both the mother and child rather than the gender.
Keeping in mind that the couple had already lost their first child, the initial stage of pregnancy was a bit tough, especially for Doug. However, when he noticed the baby bump, he could not help but feel delighted.
Jamie and Doug are hoping to move to their new home by August 2017 and welcome their daughter into the new home.
Jamie was super excited when she felt the first kick, four months after getting pregnant. She is also looking forward to decorating the room for her soon-to-be-born child. The two are treading cautiously and taking the pregnancy one day at a time as they do not wish to take any chances. The father-to-be is awaiting the arrival of his little bundle of joy eagerly and looking forward to the "special bond."
