The majority of shows on the Cw Network have been confirmed. Only two went into the season knowing that they were going to be cancelled at the end. However, there are still four shows with unknown futures. Here’s a look at those four and whether they will likely be renewed or cancelled for the 2017-2018 season.

‘The Originals’

The first on the list is “The Originals,” the spinoff of “The Vampire Diaries.” This show is currently on season 4 and was slated to be cancelled towards the end of last year. Despite it getting an early renewal in 2016, fans were disappointed to hear that it wouldn’t air in the fall 2016 season.

Instead, the CW network opted to postpone the start date to March 2017. It was a long wait, but the decision may have paid off. The ratings are higher than expected and holding steady, making “The Originals” season 5 look promising. The next season will likely stick with this midseason start date.

‘iZombie’

This zombie program is on its third season and already looks set to get a fourth. The ratings are down from last year, but they are holding steady and higher than expected. The show is only on its third episode of the season, too! The CW hasn’t made an announcement yet on the future of the program, but it looks like it will make it back for the 2017-2018 season. It will likely get a midseason start date, as it did this season.

‘Frequency’

“Frequency” was one of CW’s three freshman shows for the 2017-2018 season. It is also one of two that has an unknown fate right now. Based on a movie of the same name, the show is about a woman who finds a radio that allows her to talk to her father 20 years in the past. Each change in time made had consequences in the future, where Remy is the only person to remember both futures.

Unfortunately, the show didn’t get the ratings, and it may be cancelled this year.

The only way that this show could get another season is if the CW finds that none of its pilots are worthy of attention. However, “Frequency” may get a midseason start date instead in a bid to save it.

‘No Tomorrow’

The second freshman show that still has an unknown fate, "No Tomorrow” is a comedy about a man who believes in living every day as his last.

Unfortunately, it didn’t quite get the following that the network hoped for, and was one of the CW’s worst performing shows of the fall season. The ratings were low even for the CW standard. It is unlikely to get another season.
