With plenty of hype and speculation continuing to swirl around the release of "BioShock," "Beetlejuice 2," "The Crow," "Lobo" and “Witchblade,” the latest word is that these films will hit a theater near you in coming months. It would not be wrong to say that thousands of movies are in the works right now. According to Digital Spy, at least 28,400 films listed on IMDb are in post-production.
1 - ‘BioShock.'
With so many movies in development, it is obvious that some of them get delayed more often than the others. After the smashing success of “House of the Dead” and “Doom,” director Uwe Boll is now working on “BioShock.” Gore Verbinski from “Pirates of the Caribbean” is serving as a producer.
The story is inspired by a novel of the same name. There are rumors that Disney is interested in acquiring the movie rights, but Uwe has refused to comment anything.
2 - ‘Beetlejuice 2’
We’ve no information about the plot and release date of “Beetlejuice 2.” This classic film is being delayed and stuck in development. However, Tim Burton claims that the movie will hit a theater near you this winter. Seth Grahame-Smith has penned the script, and Winona Ryder and Michael Keaton are potentially attached to the project. We know that Burton hasn't made any live-action movie since “Sleepy Hollow,” so he may want to give his best in “Beetlejuice 2.”
3 - ‘The Crow’
It’s been a long when we saw the original movie.
A remake is in the works, but the release date is unconfirmed. The cast includes Bradley Cooper, Mark Wahlberg, Tom Hiddleston, Jack Huston, and Luke Evans. Jason Momoa will reprise his role from the original film. F J Gutierrez and Juan Carlos Fresnadillo have directed this project.
4 - ‘Lobo’
The rumors are circulating that the story of “Lobo” is similar to “Deadpool,” but Marvel says it’s an entirely different film.
The movie is about a brave man who fights against violence and crimes. It would not be wrong to say that the concept of a “Lobo” film has been floating around since 2015. Unfortunately, the movie got not release date till now. Black Adam will play the lead role in this film.
5 - ‘Witchblade.'
“Witchblade” is one of the most anticipated films.
The story is about Sara Pezzini, an N.Y.C. detective to whom the mystical Witchblade bonded. She gets some supernatural powers and wants to destroy the world. The idea of making a big-budget “Witchblade” film has been around since 2008. Unfortunately, the movie is getting no release date, but the director claims it is in the final works.
We feel that some of the movies mentioned on this page will hit the theaters before Christmas, but nothing is confirmed.
