After months of wait, Netflix unveiled the first official teaser of their production venture, "War Machine" on March 01, 2017. The film which features Brad Pitt, Anthony Michael Hall, Topher Grace, Will Poulter, Tilda Swinton and Ben Kingsley in lead roles.
A black comedy about the Afghan war
Written and directed by David Michod, the film is a dark comedy set in the backdrop of the Afghan war.
Brad Pitt will be seen playing the role of General Dan Macmahon (heavily inspired from General Stanley McChrystal, a former commander of US Force in Afghanistan). He is very outspoken, and gradually, he faces a public fall from grace.
Based on the famous book, 'The Operators: The Wild & Terrifying Inside Story of America's War in Afghanistan' written by Michael Hastings, the film is expected to portray the real-life issues faced by Stanley in his professional career.
This first look teaser is just thirty seconds in length, but it is enough to create curiosity in the minds of the audiences. Brad Pitt, as always, looked charming, and he is outstanding as the silver-haired US military officer.
The major portions of "War Machine" were filmed in Abu Dhabi. The art direction team has reportedly worked round the clock to convert the city to look like a Kabul street. Some of the important scenes were also shot at the Abu Dhabi International Airport.
