Jack Pearson lost his life on "This Is Us,' but they have still avoided telling fans want happens. There is a lot of speculation going on about how Jack died and if it was connected to something that really happened. At first, people thought it had to do with 9/11, but then the math was figured out, and that wasn't the case at all.
How does everyone think that Jack ended up dying?
So far, "This Is Us" hasn't really given any great clues about how Jack dies on the show just that it happens. He has started drinking again and is obviously upset that Rebecca went out on tour without him.
At first, everyone thought it was a Plane crash because it is obvious that Kate and Kevin both have a fear of flying, so this could be a great fit. There has also been some speculation that he might have died from a car crash due to drinking, but nobody seems to have any ideas of when that would have happened.
The math has been done, and he died before 9/11. Now fans think that Jack could have died on USAir Flight 427. This is a great fit because the flight was going from Chicago to Pittsburgh, a.k.a. the Pearsons' hometown. This plane crash happened in 1994, and nobody survived. This would fit in to the right time table for when Jack could have died.
It really seems like the fans of "This Is Us" want Jack Pearson to die in a heroic way or at least in something that really happened in history instead of in a terrible way like a car crash or something similar.
The fans are all over Twitter saying that they think he dies in this plane crash. If you remember, Kevin destroyed all of his model airplanes which makes this theory make even more sense. Everyone is just going to have to wait to see how this all goes down when "This Is Us" returns.
