Episode 17 of "Supergirl" Season 2 will show Alex as she and Maggie meet Maggie’s former girlfriend, Emily. In the meantime, Lynda Carter of "Wonder Woman" character is introduced to return to the series as President Marsden. The name for this new chapter is “Distant Sun,” and you can view some additional details here, comprising the return of a former Wonder Woman and then also a chance to get some more news about Maggie and Alex.

The plot for this new episode published on TV Guide states: “A large bonus is put out on Supergirl (M.
Benoist) and aliens from far and near assault National City determined on taking out the woman of iron; Maggie (F. Lima). And Alex (C. Leigh) run toward Maggie's ex-girlfriend, Emily, who is in city for a short time; Hank (D. Harewood) gets an unusual order from President Marsden (L. Carter).”
Things are about to get exciting for Maggie and Alex when the couple bumps into Emily, who is surprisingly back in the city for a week. This will certainly put all girls in an uncomfortable situation. According to spoilers online, Lima earlier teased: “A former girlfriend gives up, and it is a surprising moment for Maggie to move to her, while Alex is with her.”

The episode of next week will also follow the return of Carter to reprise her position as the POTUS, Olivia Marsden, who was shortly presented in episode 3 of "Supergirl" Season 2.
To recall, it was announced toward the end of the said chapter that the POTUS is an alien. It remains doubtful, though, if Olivia Marsdin is an alien, or an alien caught the original POTUS and pretended to be her.
In the meantime, based on the trailer for the next episode of "Supergirl" season 2, named "Distant Sun," a bounty will be put on Kara as she will be captured.
While it remains unknown who is back the hunt on Kara, it is presumed that they are no other than Mon-El's (C. Wood) parents as they need their son to return with them. Episode 17 of "Supergirl" Season 2 will air on Monday, March 27, at 8.00 pm EST on The CW.
