Could Caitlyn Jenner be included in "The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills" season eight cast? While fans will have to wait for at least a few more months to see who will be named as full-time housewives of the Bravo reality show, a new report claims the reality star formerly known as Bruce Jenner may be in the running for one of the coveted spots.
“Caitlyn's reality show was cancelled after bad ratings and she doesn’t want to return to ['Keeping Up With the Kardashians']," a source explained to Naughty Gossip this week, adding that Jenner is now in talks to join the cast of the popular Bravo series.
Is Caitlyn Jenner allowed to jump ship from 'KUWTK' to 'RHOBH'?
While Jenner may be in jeopardy of a contract violation if she appears on just any series, "The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills" and "Keeping Up With the Kardashians" are both part of the NBC Universal family, which means she doesn't have anything to worry about when it comes to joining the Bravo show -- or making a guest appearance on the series.
The source went on to reveal that Caitlyn Jenner wants to get away from her ex-wife, Kris Jenner, and reportedly feels that by joining the Los Angeles-based show. “Caitlyn wants to get away from Kris," the insider said, "and ['Real Housewives'] is her way away from her.”
Caitlyn Jenner's ex-wife is close with some of the 'RHOBH' cast
While Jenner is reportedly hoping to get away from her former wife, with whom she shares two children, Kendall and Kylie Jenner, joining the cast of "The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills" may not be the best way to do so.
After all, the mother of six is close friends with longtime star Kyle Richards and was spotted out with her and her husband, Mauricio Umansky, just days ago. Kris Jenner has even been seen with regular guest star Faye Resnick -- and been rumored to be joining the show herself on several occasions.
Caitlyn Jenner has not yet publicly reacted to the rumors regarding her possible participation with the Bravo series, nor has the network released a statement.
