'The Vampire Diaries' Season 8 episodes

As per Entertainment Weekly, Kelly Donovan will show up in the second-to-last scene of the epic series and its season 8. Looking back, it has been eight years since she left her role as the mother of Matt.

In her last appearance, Kelly chose to abandon her youngsters after Matt suggested that the move would be the best for everyone of them.

Directly from that point forward, Vicki turned into a vampire and was murdered by Damon Salvatore. Moreover, Damon's actions aided Matt, and he was unbothered. For the uninitiated, Matt's lineage is not an ordinary one because he is the successor of the real founding family. In line with that, Matt ends up being leading the highly renowned family, the Maxwells.

Matt's mother returns

The upcoming episodes and its story centered around on Matt, with an outright plot line that works with Mystic Falls. His family along with Bonnie's predecessor, Beatrice Bennett placed a ringer for the whole town.

Kelly's appearance on the forthcoming scenes is set to be on Stefan and Caroline's wedding, TV Line reported. Steroline fans asked for it to be consolidated in The Vampire Diaries' closing season.

It's not clear how Kelly will return to the scene and the reasons of her reappearance. Likewise, more things are expected to occur since Kelly left the series in Season 1. In addition, some claims have surfaced that Kelly could be the cause of the turf wars when "The Vampire Diaries" Season 8 returns.

On the other hand, Stefan and Damon are also set to be working together to counter the threats of their common enemy, but the synopsis didn't hint who that rival is.

For the fans and followers, if it's not Cade, Kelly is possibly the new enemy of the main characters when the famous thriller segment returns to the small screens.
