Fans were both shocked and saddened when it was officially announced that "The Vampire Diaries" would be ending after Season 8. After Nina Dobrev, the lead actress in the series, decided to quit in 2015, the show's fate went from up in the air to almost completely obvious. The actors and writers of the show have assured the viewers that "TVD" will finish with an amazing, dramatic, and satisfying ending. Here are some finale predictions.
Damon will die
Stefan's death has been hinted at and teased since Season 8 began. But will it actually happen?
Well, considering that Stefan is human now, it seems like it's only a matter of time before he finally dies for good. Unfortunately, "TVD" is not known for giving actual answers so early in the season. The truth is, if "TVD" wants the viewers to think Stefan will die, it's because he actually won't. Damon, however, has been dodging death, Hell, and the Devil way too well. Which means that if either of the Salvatore brothers is going to die, it'll most likely be him.
Steroline won't end up together
Caroline has been fighting for a happy ending with Stefan from the moment they started dating. Sadly, there's always been one problem: Stefan. Stefan says he loves Caroline, but for some reason, he's always running away or getting himself in trouble.
While Stefan has always been self-loathing, it looks like he's not even trying to have a life with Caroline these days. Maybe if he was still with Elena, Stefan would have a little more motivation to fight for happiness.
Bonnie won't escape the darkness
When Enzo died, Bonnie opened up a world for him that only she has access to.
And while it's known that Enzo isn't in hell, it's also clear that this new world is nothing good. Bonnie's mother warned her against trying to find Enzo again, but of course, she didn't listen. Now, she has the Devil watching her every move and she's spending all her time trying to reach Enzo. It's only a matter of time before Bonnie goes too far.
