Christina and Tarek El Moussa have achieved a level of fame recently that they probably only hoped to attain prior to the news that they are headed for divorce. The couple has been making the HGTV real estate/reality show together for six seasons now but the most recent, which is currently airing, has received stellar ratings. This is most likely due to the real estate couple's personal problems which including an alleged cheating scandal, a blow up that involved the police and now a pending divorce.
Christina and Tarek El Moussa want to continue making 'Flip or Flop' together
Despite all of that, the El Moussa want to stay on TV and continue making their show together. At first, fans of the show (and everyone else) wondered if that was even a possibility but HGTV said it was all dependent on ratings. The ratings, at least for now, are through the roof (pun intended) and the show is going on.
Now, with Season 6 of "Flip or Flop" in full swing, Christina is speaking out about her failed marriage to Tarek and the show that neither of them wants to give up. In a "Good Morning America" interview on Tuesday, Christina confronted all of the "tabloid chatter" regarding her impending divorce and the events that led up to it.
The El Moussa defend each other, they are good people
Christina defended herself and Tarek on the morning show. She said, "There’s a lot of false stories and a lot of hype, but in the end, we’re just normal, nice people who just want to be the best parents and coworkers that we can be."
It seems that Tarek El Moussa also got the memo and while his estranged wife was talking about what great people they are on "Good Morning America," he was making the same claims while speaking on "The Today Show." Tarek was quoting saying almost the same thing Christina did, and the takeaway that both of the El Moussa want everyone to know is that they are good people, great parents and that they can continue making "Flip or Flop" together even though they can't save their marriage.
To watch it all unfold, be sure to tune into "Flip or Flop" on HGTV on Thursdays at 9/8c.
