The Duggar family is coming under fire once again. It seems like every few days there is a new scandal in the tabloids about the parents or one of the children. Most recently it has been Joy Anna Duggar in the news, but this time, it is Jim Bob and Michelle.
New scandal
Fans know the family is conservative and have always voted Republican. They have backed candidates like Rick Santorum and Paul Ryan, though neither made it to the 2016 Presidential nomination. Derick Dillard, Jim Bob Duggar's son-in-law, has voiced that he has backed Donald Trump since nearly the beginning.
Earlier today, the Duggar family posted on their Facebook page that they support Trump and believe he will show America God again.
According to the Hollywood Gossip, people are getting a little crazy over the Facebook post. It is not only supporting Donald Trump, but that they are trying to make money by promoting some of their items. Linking the two is incredibly tacky, but not something the Duggar's are above. It was a prime opportunity, and they ran with it.
Critics are having a field day
If people aren't attacking the Duggar family in one way or another, it just isn't a typical day. There is always something to complain about, but this time, the insults and slander are getting incredibly personal.
The women have always been very vocal about their pro-life stance, and that is something they often take heat for. Fans have attempted to battle the critics, but it isn't working. The family still hasn't recovered from the 2015 controversy that basically crushed their credibility.
Watching Jim Bob and Michelle Duggar stand up and support Donald Trump isn't surprising to those that follow the family.
While they stayed quiet during the bitter debates and the shocking results, they are standing behind the Republican party no matter what. It is a little shocking that they are saying that Trump will be the reason God is brought back into the country, but it will be interesting to see whether or not he delivers for his conservative backers.
