Reality TV shows have been raking in ratings for the longest time. Many reality shows managed to have a steady following of viewers from all walks of life. I mean, why not? It is entertaining to say the least. It is interesting to see girls fight and cuss the living daylights out of each other for an alleged boyfriend snatching, right? Or say two guys beat each other to the pulp for arguing over some lame basketball game is funny and insane.

While some find this amusing, others find it over-the-top and ridiculous. Many also consider it nothing but trash.

Those fights and silly altercations may even be staged. Some even think that producers deliberately ask the "reality stars" to fight and bicker to attract more attention and viewership. If this so, then the stars may have no choice but to do what they are paid for to do. However, these are all speculations as no one would really know the science behind such shows.

Is there anything good in reality TV shows?

Tough question. Maybe so. Let me mention the "Keeping up with the Kardashians." This is undoubtedly one of the biggest and longest running reality TV Shows in recent history. Since its debut back in 2007, the Kardashians have grown more and more popular. Each Kardashian member is a character, contributing to the longevity of the show.

In spite of the extremely high-life, traveling almost anywhere in the world in private jets and highly publicized twisted love affairs, their love for each other as family is commendable. The Kardashians have stood the test of time, with all of their scandals and tragedies available for the whole world to see. Take away the jets, jewelry, and expensive mansions, they are just individuals who draw strength from each other.

What about this whole Mama June weight loss thing? Well, it is somehow inspiring. Going under the knife to undergo gastric bypass surgery is not an easy thing to do. Though it is relatively a safe procedure, no one can entirely be sure. She went ahead with the surgery as her health and self-esteem are already flailing. Thankfully, she returned unscathed and managed to lose 300-pounds.

Now, her new found confidence is amusing.

Speaking about weight loss, there's Khloe Kardashian's "Revenge Body." This by far is the most inspiring out of the many reality shows out there. It showcases how one goes through intense and rigorous training to lose weight and live a healthy lifestyle. After the weight loss, they complete their revenge to those who put them down.

Should there be more of it?

Yes! It is good for business, otherwise there won't be any reality shows airing right now. However, it is best to proceed with caution. Watch such shows only for the entertainment aspect and not much else. Fights and outrageous behaviors are never tolerated in real life. Spending beyond your means to live like the Lord Scott Disick is sickening. Just be responsible not to do what they do and you'd be just fine.
