Less than 24 hours after declassifying the controversial Nunes memo, Donald Trump decided to sound off on social media. Following his tweets, he was quickly met with criticism over a basic grammar error.

Trump on Twitter

It's been just over a year since Donald Trump has been in the White House, and he's been forced to deal with allegations of being in cahoots with Russia during the Kremlin's reported hacking of the Democratic National Committee during the 2016 election.

Despite Trump's denial, several well-respected news outlets and government agencies have concluded that Russia hacked the election, leading to an investigation attempting to uncover whether or not the president worked with the rival nation.

In response, House Intelligence Committee Chairman Devin Nunes concluded a nine month investigation by accusing the FBI and Justice Department of being bias against Trump, culminating in a controversial memo of his findings that was released on Friday. Commenting on this issues was Trump during a February 3 rant on Twitter. Taking to Twitter on Saturday morning, Donald Trump was defiant over the Nunes memo.

"This memo totally vindicates 'Trump' in probe,'" the president tweeted out, while speaking in the third person, before adding, "But the Russian Witch Hunt goes on and on,"

"Their was no Collusion and there was no Obstruction (the word now used because, after one year of looking endlessly and finding NOTHING, collusion is dead)," Donald Trump went on to tweet, while using the incorrect form of the world "there" by tweeting "their." "This is an American disgrace!" he added, but not before critics could point out his grammar error.

Trump on approval

In another tweet on Saturday morning, Donald Trump cherry picked a conservative-leaning poll to cite his current approval with the American people. "Rasmussen just announced that my approval rating jumped to 49%, a far better number than I had in winning the Election, and higher than certain 'sacred cows,'" he posted.

Not stopping there, the commander in chief doubled down on his attack on the media. "Other Trump polls are way up also. So why does the media refuse to write this?" Trump wondered, before adding, "Oh well, someday!"

While Trump's approval has increased in recent weeks, a recent CNN poll put the president's favorable rating at 42 percent, the 49 percent cited in the tweet is relegated to the one Rasmussen poll that is known to have a right-wing slant. With 2018 just five weeks old, only time will tell how the rest of the year plays out.
