Elon Musk tweeted last Wednesday that he is doing everything he can to lobby President Donald Trump and keep the US in the deal. "Don't know which way Paris will go, but I've done all I can to advise directly to POTUS, through others in WH and via councils, that we remain," Tesla and SpaceX CEO wrote on Twitter. Unfortunately, Musk made it clear that if ever trump departs, he will have no other option but to leave the councils as well.

What makes Elon Musk's say important

According to CNN Money, Musk is one of the 18 great business leaders in the country. As of now, he is a part of Trump's business advisory council. Their group is formally labeled as Strategic and Policy Forum. There are several things that the 45-year-old business magnate has already been doing since Trump's term began.

One significant project he is involved with is the Jobs Manufacturing Initiative. The said project intends to boost infrastructure spending. It can be recalled that Trump swore in 2016 campaign that he will push 1$ trillion for infrastructure spending to bring new life and vitality to roads, American airports, and rail systems.

Will Trump withdraw from the deal?

Trump's decision will be finalized and announced later this week. However, he is expected to pull out from the landmark Paris agreement. This accord was already signed in 2015 and Tesla, Musk's company, is one of the many that are asking for the President not to pull out. The accord commits to reducing carbon emissions by 26 to 28 percent within ten years.

Moreover, Musk also revealed that he approached White House already for climate issues. Sadly, he is still being shot at, despite the willingness to connect with the Trump administration.

Musk: for or against Trump?

Nothing much has been said on who's side the engineer-investor is, but this is not the first time he was against Trump.

He initially opposed the President's decision regarding the immigration issue. Due to this order, a temporary ban happened in traveling from seven Muslim countries. It was fortunate that Musk remained in the advisory council despite being publicly against.

Furthermore, he previously explained that to be present does not always mean he agrees with the administration. Unlike Musk, Uber CEO Travis Kalanick left the advisory council to protest the ban. In addition to Tesla, Tech giants like Google and Apple also had a tough time balancing their support. Share your reactions in the comment section!
