Epic Games has recently released the v9.30 update for "Fortnite Battle Royale," adding a lot of new content to the popular video game. The update has added the new item, the Chug Splash, which allows players to heal themselves and their teammates from distance. The video game developer has also removed three items from the game, including the Boom Bow and Dual Pistols.

The "Fortnite Battle Royale" creator is already preparing some new items to release to the game. After the v9.30 update came out, data miners have found a lot of new files that have been added to the game data.

These files include upcoming cosmetic items as well as new items which will be added to the game this season. One of those items is the Drum Shotgun, and it will be interesting to see how players will adapt to it.

Weapon stats and gameplay have come out

The Drum Shotgun will come to "Fortnite Battle Royale" in three different rarities. Players will be able to use the Common variant with it, along with Uncommon and Rare variants. The shotgun will deal between four and five damage with a fire rate of four shotgun shells per second.

The reload time of the upcoming weapon will be between 4.3 and 4.7 seconds depending on its rarity, and its magazine will contain 12 ammo. Below, you can see the video of the Drum Shotgun.

It is important to note that sounds and animations of the weapon are not accurate, as KrispyLeaks, the "Fortnite Battle Royale" data miner has revealed.

However, players can see the model of the Drum Shotgun, and this model will be used for the weapon when it comes out.

At the moment, it is unknown when this weapon will be released to the game. However, considering that Epic Games has added this item, along with a few others, to the game data with the latest update, we can expect it to debut in the ninth season of the popular video game.

Heavy Shotgun uncertainty

Epic Games has hinted at the return of the Heavy Shotgun in the Season 9 promo. The Heavy Shotgun, as well as the Combat Shotgun and the Tactical Assault Rifle, have all appeared in the promo material for the upcoming season.

At the moment, players can use the Tactical Shotgun and the Combat Shotgun, plus the Drum Shotgun will also be released to the game.

It will be interesting to see what changes the "Fortnite Battle Royale" developer will make to weapons in the following months. A new variant of the Pump Shotgun has been recently leaked, and adding it would give players more variety in terms of close-range weapons they use for combat.
