The video game looks much different than it looked 18 months ago, and its developer keeps changing it by constantly adding new things. While some players don't like the fact that the game is getting so many updates, there is no denying that these updates are a huge reason why "Fortnite" is the most popular video game today.
The game has not only taken over the gaming world, but it's also popular in pop culture. As long as Epic Games keep releasing weekly updates, there is no doubt that this game will be played by millions of players around the world.
The video game creator has announced some changes that will happen in Season 8 of "Fortnite Battle Royale." One of these changes will affect planes, or more precisely, they will be completely removed from the game.
X-4 Stormwing to be removed
X-4 Stormwing, which is the name of "Fortnite Battle Royale" plane, will be vaulted at the start of the upcoming season. Eric Williamson, Design Lead of the video game, has announced this change on the AMA thread on Reddit. "Planes will be vaulted at the start of Season 8. Get your airtime in now!" is what the developer answered to the player who asked if planes will be gone next season.
This is going to be a positive change for the game, and there is no doubt that a lot of players will come back.
Many players have stopped playing "Fortnite Battle Royale" because of planes, even though the game developer has nerfed them numerous times. Planes used to be overpowered at the start of the season, but they can be taken down easily now, and they cannot deal massive damage to structures like they used to.
Even after all those nerfs, players are still unhappy and want planes to be removed from the game, which is going to happen in just a few days.
It is unknown if Epic Games will remove other vehicles, such as Shopping Carts or Quadcrushers, but there is a good chance that the Driftboard will be gone too since it's a limited-time item.
New vehicle?
Season 4 of "Fortnite Battle Royale" has introduced us to Shopping Carts, which were the first vehicle in the game. Season 5 has added All Terrain Karts, while Quadcrushers were added in Season 7.
The developer has added planes in Season 7, and we can expect another vehicle to replace them in the next season. It will be interesting to see all the changes, and we are only a few days away from the new season!
