"Fortnite Battle Royale" players are just a few days away from entering the eighth season of the popular video game. Season 7 is quickly approaching its end, and players are excited to see what new things they are going to get with Season 8. Epic Games hasn't revealed many information regarding the next season, so we don't know what's going to happen in it. However, there are some clues which hint at its theme and the event which could be used to introduce us to it.

A couple of "Fortnite" developers have recently held an AMA on Reddit, answering questions regarding the video game.

While they haven't revealed anything about the Season 8 theme, they have announced several big changes that will be released with the season. Some of these changes will be exclusive to the console version of "Fortnite Battle Royale."

More console settings in Season 8

Ever since "Fortnite Battle Royale" was released, PC players had a lot more options when it comes to graphics settings. They could set a different resolution and different quality for almost every aspect of the game. This includes the quality of shadows, which can provide a big combat advantage, and motion blur.

Epic Games has given PlayStation 4 and Xbox One players some graphics options too, such as the 60 FPS mode which was in the game a long time ago, but the truth is that console players have never been able to drastically adjust these settings.

In general, almost every single video game lets PC players change graphics settings, while console players are mostly stuck with default settings game developers choose.

This is going to change in Season 8 of "Fortnite Battle Royale" as Epic Games will allow console players to turn Motion Blur on or off. In addition, the game developer announced some changes to in-game shadows.

The goal is to make shadows not affect gameplay, and even though console players won't be able to change this setting, it should make no difference in the next season.

More changes

Beside the aforementioned change, Epic Games will make a huge improvement to sounds in Season 8 of the popular video game. Weapon firing sounds will be more natural and movement sounds will be changed as well, especially for vertical audio. Additionally, the game developers on Reddit have hinted at the return of some original POIs, so it will be interesting to see what the Season 8 map of "Fortnite Battle Royale" is going to look like.
