"Fortnite": Epic Games has revealed some big things that are coming with the next "Fortnite Battle Royale" update. For some reason, the video game developer hasn't released the update on Tuesday, February 12. The French Twitter account for the popular video game has revealed that the patch will be released on Wednesday, February 13, and this is when players will get many improvements and a few weapon nerfs.

Considering that season 7 ends in around two weeks, the v7.40 patch will most likely be the last patch in the season. We can expect Epic Games to release the v7.40 content update next week, but it is very unlikely that there will be more big patches.

With season 7 approaching its end, we are expecting a season 8 build-up event to happen in the next few days along with the changes the video game creator has already announced.

Ziplines will finally be fixed

Ziplines were introduced with season 7 of "Fortnite Battle Royale." While they are extremely useful when it comes to moving around the in-game island and traveling from one hill to another, many players have encountered some game-breaking glitches with them. Some of these glitches included players being teleported outside the map, which would result in instant death, while numerous players have at least died once to fall damage after using a zipline.

The v7.40 patch will finally fix ziplines and players will no longer be automatically picked up by them.

Right now, whenever a player approaches a zipline, it picks them up and moves them from side to side. However, players will have to manually confirm this when the patch comes out. There will be a special interact prompt players will have to use to activate ziplines.

In addition to this, ziplines will grant "Fortnite Battle Royale" players fall damage immunity.

This will be a nice addition as players will be able to freely use ziplines without fear of dying to fall damage.

Other changes

Building and editing will receive some big improvements in the v7.40 patch as well. Turbo building delay will decrease to only 0.05 seconds, down from 0.15, and players will now be able to crouch while editing their building pieces.

Besides these changes, Hand Cannon and Rocket Launcher will be nerfed in the upcoming update. Hand Cannon will deal 100 damage to structures, instead of 150, while the RPG will have its reload time increased from 2.52 to 3.24 seconds. Additionally, Rocket Launchers will not appear in chests and vending machines anymore.
