"Fortnite Battle Royale" players got another video game update on February 8. After the v7.30 content update, which was released on February 5, Epic Games is preparing a big patch. At the moment, I don't have a lot of information about what is coming to the popular game. However, the video game creator has revealed that another weapon is going to be added with the next update, and it is another rifle.

Considering the timing of previous updates in Season 7, I expect the next patch to be released on Tuesday, February 12. This is going to be a big patch, not a content update, and it will require "Fortnite Battle Royale" players to update their clients.

In addition, there will be a server downtime and players will have to wait for it to end before trying the update and checking out the new weapon.

Infantry Rifle in Fortnite

Epic Games has revealed the new weapon through the in-game news section in "Fortnite Battle Royale." The new weapon is called Infantry Rifle, and its new description states the following: "Classic design meets new combat style." The rifle looks similar to a Hunting Rifle, so it will be interesting to see if the game developer decides to vault the other weapon. It's time to share my top five vaulted weapons.

It is important to note that no one knows exactly what this rifle is going to be like. While it does look similar to a Hunting Rifle, it may not be used as a long-range weapon.

After all, a Hunting Rifle is considered a sniper rifle and its headshot multiplier is 2.5. The Infantry Rifle could be similar to a Heavy Assault Rifle, with a slower fire rate and a massive damage.

There is a good chance that this is going to be another bolt-action rifle.

However, its fire rate could be much faster. Maybe something between a Hunting Rifle and a Heavy Assault Rifle. This is one thing that would make sense, as "Fortnite Battle Royale" players pretty much have every other type of a rifle in the game. Epic Games may decide to vault one of the existing weapons and replace them with an Infantry Rifle.

v7.40 patch

The upcoming patch is going to be huge. With only 17 days until the end of Season 7, this is most likely going to be the last big patch of the season. The development team will release a v7.40 content update seven days after the patch, and that is going to be the last update of the season. I am expecting some big things with the v7.40 patch, including a Season 8 build-up event!
