"Fortnite Battle Royale" is a unique battle royale video game mostly because of its building aspect. Its main competitors simply focus on player-versus-player combat, while Epic Games' popular game makes players build in order to be successful and get victories. The video game developer has made numerous adjustments to building over the past few months, and there will be even more changes in the near future.
Epic Games has constantly worked on "Fortnite Battle Royale" updates in an attempt to make the game balanced and fun for everyone. However, there are still some bugs players experience from time to time, and the game developer is going to fix one of them.
This bug has been in the game since it was released, and it will be fixed in the v7.20 update. After the fix, building will be much better and players will no longer be building underground walls.
Underground walls change
Ever since "Fortnite Battle Royale" was released, players dealt with a building bug that would prevent them from placing an entire wall on the ground. Depending on the area, walls would sometimes almost completely disappear under ground, giving players no protection at all. This is something that has resulted in numerous deaths, and Epic Games has finally decided to fix it.
After the v7.20 update comes out, every wall that would be placed at least 70 percent under ground will basically build that wall, and another one on top of it for free!
In other words, for 10 resources, players will be able to place two walls and get the necessary protection from enemy gunfire.
"Under those circumstances, the required connecting piece will now build automatically and for free. In addition, the connecting piece will inherit team ownership rules (and the material type) of the desired piece," is what Eric Williamson, Epic Games' Design Lead, posted on Reddit.

As you can see in the video above, this is going to fix a huge issue "Fortnite Battle Royale" players have been dealing with. For now, only walls will be affected by this change, but Epic Games has made it clear that this will be done for the other building pieces in the future as well.
Fortnite v7.20 patch release date
At the moment, it is unknown when the next patch is going to be released. However, considering that the "Fortnite" developer has released most patches on Tuesdays, we can expect the v7.20 update to come out on Tuesday, January 15. We may also finally get drift boards!
