Epic Games has released numerous updates for "Fortnite Battle Royale" since its release in September 2017. Besides new items, many map changes, and balance changes, the game developer has also implemented some features that have been suggested by the community. This is something that may happen again soon, as the video game creator is considering changing the looting system in the popular video game.

The looting system change is another suggestion by the community, and this is something that could help "Fortnite Battle Royale" players when it comes to looting different items.

There is no doubt that Epic Games is giving its best to improve the game, and this is certainly something that would make the game much better. We can expect the change to be released with the v7.20 update, which is going live early next week.

Looting system improvement

Reddit user sasseries has posted a great suggestion on the video game subreddit. The user has suggested that Epic Games change the looting system and allow players to swap their weapons. Right now, swapping is possible only if player's inventory is full. However, the suggested change would make swapping possible at any point of the game, regardless of the inventory.

The "Fortnite Battle Royale" player suggested the system in which players would hold the pick up button to swap their current item with the item that is on the ground.

For example, if a player only has a Burst Assault Rifle in their inventory and there is a SCAR on the ground, holding the pick up button would swap the weapons, dropping the Burst Assault Rifle on the ground. The proposed change would make looting much faster as there would be no need to open an inventory and discard unwanted items.

Right now, players can simply pick up items until their inventory is full. After they get five items, they have to manually discard them by opening the inventory screen, or they can swap it for other items.

Eric Williamson, design lead on "Fortnite Battle Royale," has responded to the Reddit user, saying that the suggestion is great and that the development team will investigate it.

It won't be surprising if we get this change with the upcoming update!

v7.20 patch

The v7.20 patch for the popular video game will most likely be released on Tuesday, January 15. Players will get a huge building improvement with it, as well as a Mounted Turret change. Epic Games may also release Driftboards in the update, but nothing has been confirmed yet.
