Epic Games have been preparing the gifting feature for "Fortnite Battle Royale" for a few months. While many players have expected it to come out during summer, the video game developer has decided to keep the feature unreleased. However, it appears that this will soon change as "Fortnite" players might be able to send gifts to each other with the start of season 7.

Data miners have found a lot of details regarding the upcoming feature, and it seems that the game developer has been updating it for the past few months. Right now, we don't know all the details about the gifting system, but we do know how it is going to work and what platforms it will be available on.

Unfortunately, iOS users won't be able to use the feature, but there is no doubt that Epic Games is eventually going to make it available to all players.

Gifting system in season 7

According to fortnitenews.com, the gifting system will come out in the next season of "Fortnite Battle Royale." Considering that season 6 is ending in two weeks, we can expect this feature to be available in early December. It is important to note that this feature will be used only for gifting. Many players are confused and believe they will be able to trade cosmetic items with each other, which is definitely not the case. Epic Games is going to enable gifting, but they will do it so players cannot create a black market of cosmetic items.

The system will have several limitations, but it will allow players to buy most of the items from the item store. For example, players won't be able to gift a Battle Pass, V-Bucks, bundles bought with real money (starter packs, Deep Freeze bundle, etc.), Battle Pass tiers, and others. Additionally, players won't be able to gift items that are not in the item shop, and they won't be able to gift items they have in their lockers.

To use the gifting feature, "Fortnite Battle Royale" players will first have to enable the two-factor authentication. There will also be the requirement to hit level 2. All gifts are non-refundable, which means that players won't be able to use three free refunds to get them back. Furthermore, there will be a 24-hour limitation on how many gifts each player can send.

Limitations

Players who want to send each other a gift will have to be friends in the game for at least two weeks. The feature will be available on Android, PC, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Nintendo Switch. Unfortunately, iOS users won't have the access to the gifting system when it comes out.
