Many "Fortnite Battle Royale" players have expressed a desire for another in-game map. The current map has been in the game since September 2017, and that is why players want something different. To be fair to Epic Games, they have drastically changed it throughout this period. However, players would like something new and different, and it seems that they will get it.
The "Fortnite Battle Royale" developer has announced that a new map would eventually be added to the popular video game. There is no doubt that this change would make "Fortnite" even more popular, especially if the developer decides to add unique elements to the new map.
However, Epic Games haven't given us the release date of the new map, but we are hoping it would come out by the end of this year.
New Fortnite map
Epic Games have made numerous changes to the first and only "Fortnite Battle Royale" map. The island looks nothing like the island from a few months ago as the game developers have drastically changed it. However, many players would like Epic Games to release a whole new map. The map with a completely different design, unique features, and maybe even a much bigger map.
Fortunately, the "Fortnite" developer is going to add a new map. This has been revealed in the FAQ section of the popular video game. Epic Games have made it clear that more maps would be added to "Fortnite Battle Royale." That's right.
Not just one, but more in-game maps are coming to the video game.
Additionally, the developer said that the existing map would be a priority for some time. Epic Games want to keep improving it and make it interesting for everyone. "Yes, but not right away. Currently, we'll continue making improvements to our existing map, including adding more points of interests," is what the "Fortnite" creator responded to the question about adding more maps.
More map updates
Epic Games has already made some big map changes in season 6. Right now, "Fortnite Battle Royale" players are able to fight cube monsters as well as other players. The game developer has successfully combined the PvE and the PvP aspect of the game for a limited period.
It will be interesting to see what the "Fortnite" developer will do about the lake that is located in the center of the map.
At the moment, the purple cube is cracking, and we don't know what is going to happen with it. While it is unlikely that Epic Games would use another cube event to give us a new map, it won't be surprising if that happens.
