The Pokemon Company continues to give more free legendary Pokemon each month in this, the Year Of Legendary Pokemon. This time, the campaign will bring another pair of free legendary Pokemon for players to add to their collection and fill up their Pokedex. During the month of September, players will be able to download one of the two Eon Pokemon. You can grab either Latias or Latios, depending on the version of the game you own.

Free Latias and Latios

From September 2 to September 29, one of the two Dragon/Psychic-type Pokemon can be redeemed. If you own "Pokemon Sun," you'll get a level 60 Latias with the Levitate ability and it'll know Mist Ball, Dragon Pulse, Psycho Shift, and Wish, but if you own "Pokemon Ultra Sun," you'll get a level 100 Latias with Levitate, along with the following move set: Mist Ball, Psychic, Draco Meteor, and Tailwind.

Additionally, the latter Pokemon will also have a Gold Bottle Cap attached to it when you receive it.

Although, if you own "Pokemon Moon" or "Pokemon Ultra Moon," you'll receive Latios. In "Pokemon Moon," Latios (level 60) will know the following moves: Luster Purge, Dragon Pulse, Psycho Shift, and Dragon Breath. Latios (level 100) received in "Pokemon Ultra Moon" will have the following move set: Luster Purge, Psychic, Draco Meteor, and Tailwind.

It should be noted that the Latios redeemed using "Pokemon Ultra Moon" will also have a Gold Bottle Cap attached to it as well.

Method of redeeming

According to Gamespot, the process of redeeming the new pair of legendaries varies from region to region. In the United States, players will have to visit a participating retailer.

The code will be distributed by Best Buy stores across the country. Meanwhile, players residing in Europe and Australia will have to download the legendaries directly from the Nintendo Network. The event will end on September 23 for players in Europe and Australia.

After receiving the code from the store, you just need to select the Mystery Gift from the main menu and choose the option to receive your gift with a code/password.

Enter the code and the Pokemon will be downloaded to the game. Players in Europe and Australia simply need to select the Gift via the internet option to redeem the legendary Pokemon.

These giveaways aren't just exclusive to these games, you can collect [UX] Mega Latios and [UX] Mega Latias as part of the September 2018 Booster Pack in "Pokemon Duel."
