"Fortnite Battle Royale" players are just a few days away from unlocking the special Road Trip skin. This skin will be available to everyone who completes all challenges in seven different weeks, and week 7 challenges will be released on Friday, August 24, allowing players to get the exclusive skin. However, patch 5.30 will come out just a day before, and this patch will bring a brand new item to the game.

At the moment, no one knows what the upcoming item is going to be. Epic Games developer MrPopoTFS has posted some hints on Reddit, indicating that the item will be used for an escape.

"Fortnite Battle Royale" players have a few theories about this item, and the game developer will probably reveal the item on Wednesday, one day before it comes out.

Pool Floaty

MrPopoTFS posted the following hint on Reddit: "Are you a player on the go? Carry an escape plan in your back pocket with a new item making it's way to Battle Royale! /popcorn emote." This clearly indicates that the item will be used for an escape, but we don't know more details about it.

Earlier this season, there was a leak about the item called Pool Floaty. This item is supposed to help players move quickly around the map, which fits the hint given by the developer on Reddit. "Inflatable pool floaty. Poke a hole to send yourself flying," is going to be the in-game description of this item.

Additionally, this will be another legendary item in "Fortnite Battle Royale" and it will most likely be consumed on use.

Eye of the Storm Tracker

Another good theory involves Eye of the Storm Tracker, the item which was accidentally released instead of the Jetpack. This item was in the game for only around 30 minutes before Epic Games removed it.

Eye of the Storm Tracker is a special backpack item which shows players where the next circle is going to be. This item uses an inventory slot, but it is very useful for those who like to plan ahead and build huge bases.

"Carry an escape plan in your back pocket" could easily refer to this item, so we will see if that will be the item Epic Games releases on Thursday.

It is important to note that the game developer announced there would be more backpack items beside the Jetpack. Considering that the Jetpack was released three months ago, it won't be surprising if we get the new backpack this week.

Patch 5.30 was originally scheduled for Tuesday, August 21, but it was postponed for Thursday, probably because of the Road Trip skin.
