"Fortnite Battle Royale" players have entered the last week of season 4 as Epic Games had extended it for two more days. The fourth season was supposed to end on July 9, but the game developer decided to give players 48 more hours to earn valuable Battle Pass rewards. Season 5 will bring some huge changes to the in-game world, and those players who have already completed the current season are eagerly waiting for the next one.

Players can already notice several changes that have been caused by rifts that started appearing after the rocket launch event.

It seems that these rifts will play a big role with the season 5 introduction, and they will cause some big changes on the island. If the recent leak is true, the next "Fortnite Battle Royale" season will bring several new locations, and many of them will be unique.

New 'Fortnite' locations

Lonely Lodge was one of the first places that had a rift, and it seems that this area will be completely modified. According to Reddit user The-Internet-Explore, this area will be turned into Jurassic Jungle and it will be a new biome. Additionally, the game developer might spawn dinosaurs in this area.

On the other side of the map, the motel will disappear and it will be turned into a new location called Wild West.

Some Wild West models have already been datamined from the game files, so players already have an idea what this area will look like. The soccer field, which is right by the motel, will also be changed. This area will have pyramids and the giant lion statue will be replaced by the Sphinx.

In the southern part of the island, Moisty Mire will be replaced by Pirates Point, a pirate-themed area with ships, cannons, caves, gold, and more.

Lucky Landing will also be gone since it won't fit the season 5 theme. This place will be replaced by Captive Castle which is a castle surrounded by big walls. The castle will have a medieval theme and "Fortnite Battle Royale" players will find a weapon armory and stables for horses in the area.

Cosmetic rewards

Season 5 will bring another Battle Pass and some cosmetic rewards have already been leaked.

The Battle Pass will have six new skydiving trails, and it seems that the tier 100 reward will be a pirate-liked skin called The Cursed Captain. Additionally, players will receive a tier one skin that looks like Indiana Jones.

The fifth "Fortnite Battle Royale" season starts on Thursday, July 12, at 4:00 AM EDT.
