"Fortnite Battle Royale" season 4 ends in only four days and the new season will start shortly after. Players will receive a new Battle Pass which will contain over 100 rewards, including new skins, emotes, skydiving trails, sprays, and much more. If recent leaks are to be believed, the upcoming season will have a historical theme, and players have already had a chance to see some cosmetic items that will be released in the season.

While most players only care about skins that are coming to the game, some of them are equally interested in other cosmetic items.

The most recent leak came from Twitter page FNBRLeaks and it included some datamined information regarding season 5 items. It turns out that Epic Games has already added game data for these new items, and these will most likely be cosmetic items that will be included in the season 5 Battle Pass.

Season 5 cosmetic items

FNBRLeaks revealed six new skydiving trails that will come in the new season. Considering that skydiving trails do not appear in the in-game store and can only be obtained by leveling up, we can expect "Fortnite Battle Royale" developer to include these leaked trails in the new Battle Pass.

As you can see in the screenshot above, there will be six new skydiving trails in season 5: stars and stripes, TP, glitchin', vines, golden starfish, and ice.

By comparison, season 4 had five skydiving trails included in its Battle Pass.

It appears that many new and exciting things are waiting for "Fortnite Battle Royale" players in the next season. The map will, once again, undergo a huge change and it will be nothing like players have seen before. Additionally, some animals may be added to certain parts of the island.

For example, bats could be added to Haunted Hills while camels will most likely be roaming around the pyramids. Season 4 brought many new things, but if all these leaks are true, season 5 will be even bigger and much more exciting!

Season 5 release date

Epic Games has announced that season 5 would begin on July 12 at 4:00 AM EDT.

Originally, the season was supposed to start on July 10, but the game developer decided to extend the current season for two more days. Players also had a chance to gain more XP as there was a double XP event that ended on July 2.

The new season will require a client update that will go live around 4:00 AM EDT on the release day. Considering that this will be a big update, there will most likely be some downtime.
