"Fortnite Battle Royale" players have received numerous updates this year, yet Epic Games, the game developer, has no intention of slowing down. This year alone, three new weapons have been added to the game, and the in-game map received some huge changes. Now, the game developer is getting ready for season 3 of "Fortnite Battle Royale," and players are excited to get brand new cosmetic rewards the new season will bring.
Season 2 has brought over 60 rewards and it introduced the Battle Pass. The season ends tomorrow, and shortly after it, season 3 will start, which will have even more rewards.
Epic Games revealed some details about season 3 Battle Pass, and it looks that it will totally be worth 950 V-Bucks!
Season 3 Battle Pass will have 100 tiers
Unlike season 2, which had 70 tiers, season 3 will have 100 tiers in its Battle Pass. However, "Fortnite Battle Royale" developer claims that players won't have to spend more than 150 hours to reach the maximum tier, just like in the ongoing season.
Season 2 Battle Pass owners will receive a 5-tier head start in the new season, which means they will have to spend even less time playing the game.
New items and over 70 cosmetic rewards
"Fortnite Battle Royale" players are able to earn 46 cosmetic items in season 2, including four skins. However, the next one will bring 76 cosmetic rewards, with six different skins.
As it can be seen in the screenshot above, the first tier of the new Battle Pass will reward players with a new astronaut skin.
Beside the new skins, there will be three new pickaxes, four emotes, and three gliders. There will also be so-called "back blings" which will be back accessories players will be able to equip, and the new Battle Pass will have three of these items.
In addition, there will be five skydiving FX trails, and eight new loading screens, which will be new items in the season. The upcoming Battle Pass will also reward "Fortnite Battle Royale" players with 23 banners and 21 emoticons, as well as with XP rewards.
Weekly challenges
Season 3 Battle Pass will introduce weekly challenges, which will replace daily challenges from the ongoing season.
Each week, players will get seven new challenges which can be completed any time before the season ends. Players will have to complete four out of seven weekly challenges to get a reward, so it will be important that they choose the challenges that fit their play style.
