We are in early 2018, yet Epic Games, "Fortnite" Battle Royale developer, has already released three new weapons in the game. First, it was a Suppressed Pistol that made an appearance in "Fortnite," followed by a Minigun. Finally, the game developer added a Crossbow, which is another sneaky weapon that can be used for stealth kills.
While these new additions are great and unique, many "Fortnite" Battle Royale players are worried about the number of guns in the game. At the moment, players have only five inventory slots, and they are finding it difficult to carry their favorite weapons along with potions and other consumables.
However, the game developer has a simple solution to this problem, and while some players may not like it, it will help reduce the amount of weapons players can use in the game.
Removal of weapons
Last week, Epic Games released another "State of Development" post. The post revealed some plans the developer has for "Fortnite" Battle Royale, including the solution for too many different guns in the game. The game developer decided to start putting guns into the Vault, which means that some guns will be removed from the game.
The developer didn't go into too many details regarding this process, but we know that once a gun is put into the Vault, it will be removed from the game and it may or may not return.
The Vault will allow the development team to control the weapon pool while adding new weapons.
The first weapon that will be added to the Vault is a Submachine Gun. Only the regular variant of the gun will be removed from the game, and players will still be able to obtain tactical and suppressed variants of it. The game developer added that there would be different types of items added to the game down the road, not only weapons and consumables.
New 'Fortnite' Battle Royale game modes
In the same post, Epic Games revealed new limited-time game modes that will be added to the game. Many "Fortnite" Battle Royale players loved 50v50 mode, which was the first limited-time game mode, and they are happy to hear that it will come back to the game. Not only will it make a return, but it will also be improved.
In addition, there will be a new game mode that will have shorter matches and there will be generally less time between the circles. While the game developer hasn't revealed the exact release date for these modes, players were told that they would be released "in the next month or so."
