Epic Games released another patch for "Fortnite," and this time, the patch will affect both Save the World and Battle Royale game modes. Originally, V.2.5.0 patch was supposed to be released on Valentine's Day, February 14, but the game developer had to postpone it for a day. Now, "Fortnite" players are able to download the patch and enjoy the new content added with it.
The new patch added a new item, which is something that was unexpected. Even though the game developer has added many new items to the game this year, "Fortnite" Battle Royale players didn't get an announcement for the new item, which is why it was surprising to see it added in the game.
Beside the new item, Epic Games added shrines to the Battle Royale mode, and the patch also brought some weapon changes and bug fixes.
New item: Impulse Grenade!
Impulse Grenade is a new item that was added with V.2.5.0 patch, and just like Boogie Bomb, Impulse Grenade is not lethal. When thrown at an enemy, this bomb will explode and push the enemy away, which makes it a great utility for throwing your enemies off cliffs or other high areas.
As you can see from the video above, Impulse Grenade doesn't explode on impact, which gives targeted players some time to try to run away from it. The grenade has a blue rarity and can be found only in chests and supply drops.
Shrines
Epic Games decided to put a Lunar New Year item to "Fortnite" Battle Royale, so players will now find shrines hidden across the map.
The shrines will contain a valuable loot, so there is no doubt that these places will be action-packed!
