Game companyCapcom has finally Announced the latest sequel to the “Mega Man” franchise after a long break. The latest title will be called “Mega Man 11,” and it will be released for all modern consoles next year.
The game company also announced that titles of the “Megan Man X” series will be coming to the latest modern platforms soon. They also revealed that both “Mega Man Legacy Collection 1 and 2” will be coming to the latest Nintendo console platform soon.
These announcements were made to celebrate the franchise’s 30th anniversary.
11th title coming to latest consoles
Capcom has finally revealed that “Mega Man 11” will be coming soon to all modern consoles. Players will be able to play this game on PC, PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch, and Xbox One. They also stated that this will be released late next year.
The title was announced during the long-teased 30th-anniversary live stream of the popular franchise on Dec. 4. The most-anticipated title was revealed together with a long reminiscing video of all the titles before it. Fans were treated with memorable scenes from past titles like “Mega Man 3,” “Mega Man X,” and more.
New stuff from the new trailer
From what was seen in the trailer, the latest title will have a 2.5D look. Compared to the past titles with 8-bit graphics, the latest one will have a modern look. This will look appealing to the new gamers of this generation and the old fans of the franchise.
Aside from the new look, the trailer showed new gameplay information about the upcoming video game. Robo-dog Rush was revealed in one scene, which looked to assist the hero in jumping to higher areas. New enemies were also revealed, which looked to be minions and some mini-bosses for him to fight.
All ‘Mega Man X’ titles coming to latest platforms
In other related news, Capcom also announced that all eight “Mega Man X” titles will be coming to the Nintendo Switch, PS4, PC, and Xbox One.
This was also announced during the popular franchise’s 30th Anniversary live stream. Fans and new players will expect this game by Summer 2018.
Legacy Collection 1 and 2 announced
Capcom also revealed that “Mega Man Legacy Collection 1 and 2” will come to Nintendo Switch. Nintendo players will be able to try out these games next year.
Legacy Collection 1 was originally launched for PC, PS4, and Xbox One in 2015, while Legacy Collection 2 launched earlier this year. The first collection contained the first title until the sixth one. The second collection contained the seventh title until the last one, “Mega Man 10.”
