The latest updates for "Star Wars Battlefront 2" revealed the new changes on the sequel's loot box features after video game fans voiced out their concerns regarding its microtransaction plans. Electronic Arts and DICE have heard and read the fans' requests, and they have announced on their official website the changes they made in the game.

EA also announced that planet Kamino will be added to the sequel as a playable map. Kamino is the home planet of the Clone Troopers, and it was first featured in "Star Wars Episode II: Attack of the Clones" movie.

Loot Box changes

According to EA, they have removed "Epic Star Cards" from the loot box system and they are available through crafting, with the exception of the "Special Star Cards" when players pre-ordered the game. The Epic Star Cards are the highest tier cards within the game and players can craft the cards after finishing a session.

This change has been made to prevent people from buying multiple loot boxes and to give access to crafting materials to gain more powerful Star Cards.

Rare and powerful weapons are locked in "Star Wars Battlefront 2" and they can be unlocked through a "specific milestone," while players can earn class-specific gears and items in class-specific crates. Most video game fans are happy with the new changes as they were concerned about the game not having an even playing field, and they disagree with the "pay to win" method.

A new map revealed

EA announced on the "Star Wars Battlefront 2" Reddit page that the Clone homeworld of Kamino will be added as a playable map in the sequel. Other playable planets include Yavin 4, Naboo, Fondor, and Starkiller Base.

The sequel will feature 14 playable characters from the film franchise such as Luke Skywalker, Han Solo, Leia Organa, Chewbacca, Yoda, Darth Maul, Finn, Rey, Kylo Ren, Darth Vader, and more.

The game will also introduce a new original character, Iden Versio, and her story will be explored in the single-player campaign mode.

The events of Iden story will take place between the "Return of the Jedi" and "The Force Awakens." She will help her father, Admiral Versio, complete Emperor Palpatine's last will by activating "Operation: Cinder" to eradicate the Rebellion and the new Jedi Order.

Iden Versio will also be a playable character in the online multiplayer mode, and she is equipped with a pulse cannon, force field generator, and Stun Droid for stealth kills and recon.

The game will be available on Nov. 17 for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and the PC.
