Warner Bros. and NetherRealm Studios just announced the next batch of three DLC characters for “Injustice 2” during their Gamescom 2017 presentation. Among these new characters is no other than the half-demon comic book character Hellboy. The studio also released a trailer alongside the announcement.
Injustice 2 Fighter Pack 2 trailer
The trailer features the three characters from the Fighter Pack DLC 2 coming to Injustice 2. This includes Raiden from “Mortal Kombat,” Black Manta from “Aquaman” comics and Hellboy from the comics of the same name.
The trailer starts with Raiden destroying Sub-Zero by launching him into the wall. Then, out of the shadows, emerges Black Manta shooting a pair of homing missiles to Raiden who dodges them with ease. The missiles just continued forward, one of them hitting a pillar on the side while the other gets nonchalantly caught by Hellboy and used it to light his cigar. You can watch the trailer below.
More details regarding the upcoming Fighter Pack 2 DLC
The Fighter Pack 2 DLC will go on sale on September 12, 2017, unlocking one of the three characters. Warner Bros. and NetherRealm haven’t released any official statement yet on who would be the making a debut from the three characters on that day. NetherRealm also plans to make a Twitch live stream approximately at 4 PM PT / 7 PM ET / 12 AM BST.
The Fighter Pack 2 DLC is currently available for purchase separately and is already available for players that purchased Injustice 2 Ultimate Edition. Looking back, the first batch of DLC characters included in Fighter Pack 1 DLC was priced $20 back on its release. The pack contained the characters Sub-Zero, Red Hood, and Starfire.
Alongside the characters, the FIghter Pack 1 DLC also contained the exclusive Gear Shader Pack and a Power Girl premiere skin for Supergirl that includes all new look, voice, and dialogue. NetherRealm is yet to announce the bonus content of the upcoming DLC.
Carrying over the previous game "Injustice: Gods Among Us," "Injustice 2" also has a companion mobile application that was released for iOS and Android devices.
However, unlike the previous installment, NetherRealm Studios plans to take a more "aggressive approach" in releasing downloadable contents in "Injustice 2" in order to maintain longevity and showcase their support. "Injustice 2" was released back on May 11, 2017, for the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One consoles.
