It seems a lot of exciting things are happening right now in 'Injustice 2'. A new fighter just arrived, while the second one is about to. This even goes without saying that a third one is on its way.

According to ComicBook, the very own producer of NetherRealm Studios Ed Boon teased their upcoming presence at San Diego ComicCon. But, of course, being the Ed Boon that he is, he did not explicitly confirm it. Well, here is everything he said in a nutshell.

'Injustice 2' and San Diego ComicCon

Boon once again took to Twitter his teasing skills to leak a specific detail about the sequel, though it really is quite obvious.

"San Diego ComicCon," he tweeted. Obviously, the producer wants the community to know that he and his boys will be present at the upcoming conference. Given the fact that the game's roster is composed of DC Comics characters, this event is particularly a major exposure for the title. Although he did not specifically confirm it, the tweet itself somehow does that.

Of course, the one million dollar question here is what exactly the 'Injustice 2' developers will reveal. First and foremost, it is unlikely to be the 'Mortal Kombat' veteran Sub-Zero. Everyone knows about him and his arrival to the sequel, most especially with the latest trailer the studio released. It is plausible to think that Starfire, the third character from the 'Fighter Pack DLC 1' might be showcased; however, this fighter's release is still way off the books.

A Story Mode expansion

The beauty about Boon and his teases actually lies beneath the tweets. Previously, the 'Injustice 2' producer tweeted about a "story mode" expansion. Again, he did not explicitly confirm it, but obviously, there is a reason why he tweeted it. Now, he is tweeting about San Diego ComicCon, an event where the studio is likely to be part of.

If this is the case, then it is possible that the studio would unveil the sequel's Story Mode expansion there. Perhaps the developers will discuss more details about the content and its release date. There is definitely something to look forward to with this event.

Moreover, NetherRealm Studios might reveal the upcoming characters in 'Injustice 2'.

This should refer to the next fighters in the lineup, such as Raiden and Atom, both of which have had a good tease recently. The event, in particular, is a good avenue to push the game's popularity furthermore. Remember, San Diego ComicCon is deemed as one of the most celebrated conferences in the industry. There is every reason for the studio to be part of it.
