“Call Of Duty: WWII” was making headlines on the Internet even before it was not officially revealed. Fans are excited to get their hands on the action-packed game that will take them back to the era of violence and fear of the Second World War. While the excitement is high right now after several game features have been revealed, one of the popular modes will not be included in the upcoming game.
Theater Mode
In all COD games, the Theater Mode is always present. The mode is one of the favorites among YouTubers and streamers. It enables players to take screenshots of the game and share it to their social media accounts. Moreover, it offers many choices for players who prefer to share their gaming experiences.
What Sledgehammer has to say?
On his official Twitter account, Sledgehammer Games Executive, Michael Condrey was asked by a fan about the inclusion of the Theater mode in the upcoming “Call of Duty: WWII.” The fan further explained that the mode is useful for content creators like him.
Condrey answered him with a resounding 'no.' The game maker added that the upcoming game will use the Share functionality on PlayStation 4. According to him, the tool is very powerful for capturing and uploading game shots.
Consoles like the Xbox One and PlayStation 4 have these capture and streaming tools that function like the Theater mode. These functionalities simplify the sharing and streaming of gameplay videos and images. Aside from these, there are also numerous other third party tools that content makers can take advantage of.
In the recent statement by Sledgehammer Games’ Michael Condrey, it appears that the highly used and fan-favorite tool and its functionality has finally come to an end in the upcoming title.
It only reflects that there are newer technologies that game makers take advantage of. However, it is still too early to finalize things. It could still come out in the next game installment after this upcoming title.
Zombie Mode
Meanwhile, the Zombie Mode of the upcoming title from Sledgehammer games will be revealed on July 20. The announcement came from the game studio head Glen Schofield, which shared an image of the undead on his Twitter account. It also comes with a text July 20, which seems to refer to the upcoming San Diego Comic Con.
“Call of Duty: WWII” will be released on November 3, 2017. It will be available on Microsoft’s Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PC.
