Activision recently released the first official trailer of "Call of Duty: World War II" Nazi Zombies. It is a multiplayer mode that unleashes a frightening new horror story. Its dark and sinister plot unfolds to unleash invincible dead armies.

The game is the fourteenth installment of the "Call of Duty" series and it is the first to be set during World War II since "Call of Duty: World at War" in 2008. Players will also focus more on dealing with the horrors of the war, rather than being a super soldier and battling an entire army.

What should players expect?

The game is set in a European war. The plot is focused on the 1st Infantry Division squad and follows their battles on the Western Front. The multiplayer mode expands on different fronts that are not seen in the campaign. Zombie mode also returns.

Even though players will be dealing with zombies, the developer assures that "Call of Duty: World War II" weapon skins for multiplayer mode will still remain realistic and it will have no animated skins at this time. Michael Condrey, Sledgehammer Games co-founder, also confirmed that the only animated skins in the upcoming game are for the Nazi zombies.

Condrey also said in a Sledgehammer Games interview with GamesRadar, that there will be boxes where players can loot for cosmetic items.

The loot boxes will not affect the gameplay. Jon Horsley, Activision's senior director of development, said in an interview that the game design, story, audio, and visuals will be really scary. The new breed of zombies will be totally different from other games.

What are Nazi zombies?

Sledgehammer creative director, Cameron Dayton, said that "Call of Duty: WW2" has the scariest version of zombies that any player has ever seen.

Some of the veteran actors like Kathryn Winnick, David Tennant, and Ving Rhames are also involved in the game.

The zombie mode will allow players to journey through a chilling and mysterious Bavarian village in Mittelburg, Germany. Players will attempt to recover previous works of art that were stolen by the Axis powers in World War 2.

The mysterious village holds a secret key to a monstrous and unimaginable power.

The game was officially announced on April 21, 2017, and it will be released on November 3, 2017. The game will be playable on PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. "Call of Duty: World War 2" private beta will be available on August 25 to 28 for PlayStation 4 users. Game critics claim that this might be the best installment of the series.
