Things are shaping up really well for “Assassin’s Creed Origins.” As it approaches its official release in October this year, the anticipation continues to build among the seasoned AC gamers and new players alike with its impressive features, the Ptolemaic Egyptian setting, and refreshing gameplay.
Apart from what gaming fans saw in the E3 2017 gameplay trailer and heard during several developer interviews with media outlets, Game Director Ashraf Ismail recently revealed a couple of gameplay features that will defy gameplay norms and systems that were already founded in the series.
On Twitter, a curious fan asked more details about the eagle companion of the main protagonist in the new game. He wanted to know if Senu, the eagle used for recon in this new game has a distance limit, how far can it go without Bayek, and whether it is a female or a male.
Ismail then replied to confirm that she can go as far as players want her to, which also answered the last question. From the looks of it, gamers will be able to see the whole world through Senu and won't need to move an inch from their position.
He also said that in the game, real physics is used to control the arrows instead of established paths.
This is similar to what is used in "Legends of Zelda: Breath of the Wild" and contrary to what was done in "Horizon Zero Dawn."
Furthermore, the game director also revealed that "Assassin's Creed Origins" will feature a world that looks to be a reactive and systemic one when another fan asked about the Horse Archers.
Apparently, the horse archers in the world have dynamic and reactive AI as their behavior will vary depending on what the gamers have done in the world.
Map size
Moreover, Ismail confirmed earlier that “Assassin’s Creed Origins” will feature a map that is twice as the size of Havana, the biggest map in Black Flag. The game will allow players to dig deeper into five new areas within the Ptolemaic Egypt, namely the Nile Delta, Giza, Memphis, and Siwa.
Each of these areas will offer a dynamic experience, according to Ismail, since the individual cities have a different set of quests that make a certain location distinctly unique compared to another location.
Developed by Ubisoft Montreal, "Assassin's Creed Origins" will be out in stores on October 27 on Xbox One, PS4, and Windows PC.
