In just a few more days, the epic world of Vvardenfell Island in the province of Morrowind will finally be coming to all players of the highly popular massively multiplayer online role-playing (MMORPG) video game, “The Elder Scrolls Online.” Bethesda and ZeniMax Online Studios have been teasing the game’s upcoming first full Expansion since its announcement earlier in the year. Now, the initial reviews for its beta version are coming in, and it looks like the development will apparently be well worth the wait.

A dose of nostalgia

The majority of the reviews that have been published online have praised the new expansion’s ability to bring back the world that was originally featured in 2002 classic “The Elder Scrolls 3: Morrowind.” All of the iconic points of interest within the island as well as its overall layout have completely been repurposed for the MMORPG.

Critics have praised its ability to bring forth a barrage of nostalgia for players who have already played the classic title. However, the new expansion will still likely be quite enjoyable for others who haven’t yet tried playing the original third installment.

Changing the game

Aside from its nostalgic factor, the upcoming expansion has reportedly improved the overall base game itself. One review from Trusted Reviews even claims that the “Morrowind” expansion actually makes the game worth jumping into right now. Since its launch back in 2014, ZeniMax and Bethesda have continually been polishing up the game, and the upcoming expansion clearly shows the results of their work.

A mountain of new experiences

The upcoming update will not only be taking players into the world of Vvardenfell but is will also reportedly introduce them to a brand new narrative that will translate to hundreds of hours of new gameplay and adventure. The expansion will include a brand new class, a new trial, and a brand new player vs.

player (PvP) mode called “Battlegrounds.”

Gamers who have already tried out the expansion’s beta have revealed that every section of the map will contain hundreds of quest opportunities, with most having a deeply compelling narrative weaved into them. The main narrative for the expansion has also been described to be “quite compelling,” which is always great to hear since a good narrative is the cornerstone of every “Elder Scroll” title.

The “Morrowind” expansion is scheduled to become available this Tuesday, June 6, on the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Windows PC.
